Professor Dr. H.N. Sarker was born on 4th February, 1961 at Karfa village under Upazila Wazirpur in district Barishal, Bangladesh. His full name is Harendra Nath Sarker. He is the third child of his parents. He decided to become a great doctor when he was in class eight after hearing about Dr. B.C. Roy who was a renowned physician in India.
After completing secondary and higher secondary examination with distinction, he obtained MBBS in 1984, FCPS in internal medicine in 2004 from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons, Bangladesh and MRCP (UK) in 2011 from the Royal Colleges of Physicians, UK, MRCP (Neurology) in 2016 and FRCP (Edin) in 2013.
He served in the rural community as a skilled physician for 15 years to serve the deserved people. He has been serving as a teacher since 1995 in different medical colleges as registrar, assistant professor and associate professor. Professor Dr. H.N. Sarker is a professor of medicine in Sheikh Sayra Khatun Medical College, Gopalganj, Bangladesh. He is an author of eight medical books. He has more than 50 publications in national and international journals.
